Weekend Recap

Happy Monday and hope everyone enjoyed their weekend as much as we did!

June 27th, 2015: Justin Britt’s Football Camp

We journeyed down to Lebanon, MO for Justin Britt’s football camp and had a great time. The morning started off cloudy and the campers were all eager to get started. With their custom “JB” t-shirts, each camper was checked in and directed to the field to get started honing their skills and learning. We swiftly kicked off the camp by a welcome speech by Spencer Conley, former pro athlete and motivational speaker, that riled up the campers to focus and encourage.

With the younger session, the coaches and staff helped break them up in age groups and started working on drills right away. The morning group was full of energy and had a lot of fun with one on one expert advice from Justin Britt. The kids stayed moving and learning throughout the morning and led up to the obstacle course and autograph session to conclude the on-field activities in the morning.

I was there working for my day job, but we got to meet lots of great families in Lebanon that were beyond excited to have Justin Britt returning to his hometown and bringing such a great group of coaches out.  Our resident genius behind the “Straight Outta Kauffman” t-shirts, Mattie Green, was on hand to assist with the photography and helping the kids find their stations. Looking forward to the next camp and next location! We will keep you updated on those!

June 28th, 2015: Bowling For a Cause!

We hustled back to Kansas City and got ready for an afternoon of fun and raising money for a great family.

If you click on the picture above, we have a GoFundMe posted that you are able to donate to if you didn’t make it!

We had a great time with Sarah Davis & Ryan Landreth putting this fundraiser together and they did a GREAT job with the raffle prizes, contests and organization of the event. With Linda Ruder & her kiddos in attendance, lots of friends and family were able to come out and enjoy bowling and the Royals game that solidified a SWEEP against the A’s.

Our SprotsTakes crew was there in full effect with a special bowling appearance from our favorite former NFL athlete, Nick Leckey.

Not only were we able to catch a great photo together, but everyone who wanted to try on a Super Bowl ring was able to sport it and take a photo.

Overall the bowling party was a huge success and we raised money for the Ruder family that was appreciative and so grateful for everyone that came out! Thanks again to our sponsor, ZUBAZ, for donating such great products!

Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to keep up with our weekly posts and events coming up! Thank you so much to everyone that came out to the camps and the bowling event! We appreciate you!
