The Kansas City Royals, formally known as the Milwaukee Brewers came into Milwaukee with their bats swinging. Lorenzo Cain hit a two run home run, and Alcides Escobar got two hits and two RBI’s. The Royals had an 8-2 lead going into the bottom of the ninth, but Greg Holland gave up three runs and Yost had to bring in Davis to close out the inning. Holland said he was rusty for not playing for six games. I hope that’s the only reason and it doesn’t happen again when we need him the most.

Young became the first Royals pitcher to drive in three runs in a game since 1972. Young Struck out three without any walks. Cain and Moose each had a home run in the game and extended their hitting streaks. Cain took a nasty fall into the outfield wall while catching a fly ball. Good thing is that he is okay and played most of the game. Word is Vargas should return on June 24th and more than likely will not need a rehabilitation start.

Joe Blanton picked up his first victory in nearly two years with five solid innings and Alcides Escobar equaled his career high with four RBI’s. Escobar tripled with the bases loaded in a four-run eighth. He also singled home a run in a three-run second and Cain extended his hitting streak to eight games which lead to a 10-2 Royals win. Duffy made a rehab start Wednesday for triple A-Omaha throwing forty strikes over sixty five pitches. He allowed two runs on three hits, including a home run, walked none, hit a batter and struck out six.

Ned Yost is now has the most wins in Royals history as a manager surpassing Whitey Herzog with 411 wins. He credited the team and fans. His team has helped hos through the years and they didn’t stop last night. Escobar had three hits and Guthrie pitched six effective innings as the Royals beat the Brewers 3-2. Herrera, Davis and Holland held the Brewers to one hit over the final 3 innings. Yordano Ventura was placed on the Dl with a right ulnar nerve inflammation.

The Red Sox haven’t been the typical Red Sox of the past. The Royals will struggle in the game on Friday but on Saturday and Sunday should get solid wins. I think the Royals will win the series two games to one. I will be there Saturday.

Go Royals!!
